What are Users in Doctivity?
In Doctivity, users are the people from your organization who log into your client’s workspace and use the platform.
They are different from providers, contacts, organizations, and locations:
- User = a person at your organization using Doctivity
- Provider = an individual clinician with an NPI
- Contact = a person without an NPI
- Organization = a billing entity or facility
- Location = a physical address
What users do in Doctivity can include:
- viewing providers, organizations, contacts, and locations
- creating and viewing Activity Notes
- tagging providers, contacts, locations, and labels on notes
- filtering and analyzing market data
- viewing documents shared within your client workspace
- creating private or client-visible markets
- favoriting records like providers, contacts, locations, or organizations
Users also appear in reporting in some areas. For example, Activity Note Reporting can show activity notes by user and outreach trends by user activity.
A few important notes:
- Users are internal platform users within your client workspace
- Different users may see or do different things depending on their permissions
